What can I say... arrived on time and sufficiently packaged. I bought two to replace the disks in my Netgear ReadyNAS Duo RND2000 Home Storage Solution ( 2 Bay ) - No Drives Included... within a couple of days I'd increased my backup storage from 500 MB to 2 TB with full redundency, no problems at all.
The only issue I have is that they're a bit expensive, but hopefully I'm paying for quality and these disks will be good for a couple of years.

Perfect drive, I've had loads of Seagates over the years (home + work) - they never really go wrong unless they're old and have been thrashed 24*7 since they were first spun up.
This particular one is running in a qnap t110 server.

After trying several other large (over 1tb) disks and none of them working on my Mesh system I spent many hours then days searching the internet and finally found the problem was not with the disks but with one of the drivers on the (relatively new) pc. After sorting that out this disk installed first time and has worked fine. infact i am currently doing a speed test and it is about 4.5x faster than a two year old external Lacie drive at writing i.e. its 4.5 times faster to write the same files from the lacie disk to the seagate than writing the same files the other way. Its writing to the disk that is usually the big thing that slows down disks not other aspects of transfer speed, the Lacie disk has a triple interface of usb, firewire and fast firewire (which is what I am using).

I'm always filling up my internal hard drive space so have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new Seagate 2TB - and was NOT dissapointed. Obviously the huge capacity is the great benefit but what I didn't realise is that this a low power option that offers me the same storage with the same transfer rates but only spins at half the speed keeping the drive quiet and using less power, perfect!!!
